Ficuses are really just trees we liked and brought inside. That being said they are a little finicky as houseplants. They like to let their soil dry out between waterings, so plan to water about every other week. They really don't like to be overwatered, so when in doubt wait another few days.
These plants like lots of bright light (think 1-2 feet from a sunny window.) Since these plants are really just trees they like LOTS of light, the more sun you give them they happier they'll be.
Ficuses are notorious for dropping leaves if moved, like even a few feet. If this happens to your plant, especially when it first moves in with you, give it time to adjust and don't fret, it should bounce back once it settles in.
Ficuses are poisonous, so be sure to use caution if you live with small humans or furry friends!
