Staghorn Ferns are epiphytes, meaning they absorb their water and nutrients from their leaves as well as their roots. Because of the they really dig a humid space, so they'd love to hand out in your bathroom if it's got a window. The amount of humidity they get will determine how often you'll need to water them. More humidity = less frequent waterings. A good starter plan is to water your fern once a week by submerging the roots in water (bottom watering or, if it's mounted, running lots of water over the roots ntil they're soaked.) Keep an eye on your fern as it adjusts to your home and reduce/increase your watering schedule as needed.
These plants dig lots bright indirect light (think 3-5 feet from a sunny window) but don't like direct sun as it can give them sunburn!
These ferns are slower growers but mature plants can get up to two feet wide!
Staghorn Ferns are non-toxic, so no worries!
