Also called Monstera Adonsonii.
These plants tend to prefer warm humid environments. They would dig a weekly watering during their growing season (usually summer) and an every other week watering in their off season (usually winter.) These plants are pretty easygoing and will let you know if they aren't happy, developing yellow leaves if overwatered and droopy, wilted leaves when thirsty
Monsteras are pretty easygoing when it comes to light. They like bright indirect light (think 3-5 feet from a very sunny window, or very close to a not so sunny window) but will adjust to most lighting conditions. In lower light, or if too far from the light source, your plant will get "leggy," with longer vines and more space between the leaves. If this happens move your plant closer to the light and they'll thank you!
Once their vines grow out a bit, these plants would love a moss pole to climb!
Monsteras are mildly poisonous to people and animals, so be sure to use caution if you live with small humans or furry friends.
